Just another small update for you all, We have secured the domain for another 2 years but at the moment we are in talks with out hosting site over well hosting, our deadline is the 23rd. We may not be able to come to term before that date so it pains me to say we may go offline for a few days if that happens.
On a happier note, i have fixed the link to the Forums, no longer you have to jump so many links just click on the button up top and be brought right to them.
We are still seeking artist i have had some very nice submissions and even some that might inspire me to make a whole new game around that piece, and for somthing like that the artist will get a big insperation bonus!. 1/31/08 Long time since but We are still chugging along.
Well i know it has been a long time since we last updated, but sometimes the best things are worth waiting for. Our owner has been working hard and getting thing together, with a minor (well major) computer issues we still thrive. We have been in talks with a few arts, attending conventions to get the word out about the company and just hitting the streets. The first product is coming along nicely, we have all the cards flushed out, right now we are picking the right artwork for each card. That does not mean we don't want to see your artwork, by ALL means keep them coming until you crash our serves. We wish to get as many artist and different styles into our games then ever, nothing is better then looking at a game and just being in awe of the artwork. Look for some very cool updates to come soon, including pictures and maybe even scars of some of the beta testing of our first product the Joust!
10/07/07 Donations Are Now Accepted.
Well it's going to be a short update this week, i have alot of work going on. Thou i will share a few conversations i have had over the past month. My idea for selling t-shirts to raise money instead of just taking donations was going to be alot better. I have told many people of the shirts.... but i have had more people then i ever expected ask me "what if i just wanna donate money, or just a few dollars?" I really thought about this, so i offer to give you t-shirts to help... but you just wanna give me money? i was plain just flabbergasted, yeah we'll just accept donations, why not. So yes we are still taking pre-orders for t-shirt, 15 dollars (which includes shipping), that is my main focus for this fund raiser. If you would like to donate to us either a less amount or you simple don't wish for a t-shirt then i had added a paypal button "donate" button to the main page. If you wish to donate you can donate in multibles of $5.00, just do some simple math and add up to what you wish to donate. I would think to thank any and all of you who can give even a few dollars, i made this company to make games that are fast, easy to learn, and most of all FUN! any and all feedback is ALWAYS welcome.
Also a week or so back Imperium Star Games was featured in a stunning article on wargamingfourms the owner John is a local gamer from my neck of the woods and a great guy. i have put the article here for easy access, so read the our FIRST EVER PUBLICITY!!! Check the Article also check out the rest of the site, it's wicked.
8/28/07 Preorder Your T-shirts or A Kitten Dies
Well it's been a little bit since the last update, with gen con and ...no i didn't go, but still i can use it as an excuse. Well not very much to update you on, thou i do have a few things.
First to the T-shirt. we are NOW accepting pre-orders for shirt. they shall be $15.00 which includes shipping within the U.S. Please Send your requests for the shirts to ShirtsOrder@imperiumstargames.com This is what i need from you.
Name: Street Address City: State: Zip Code: Number of Shirts: Size of Shirts: How you would like to pay:
we are accepting Payment Via Check/money order, Paypal... and giving me money in person. (granted the last one applies to those whom can find me) the pic on the side there is obviously the shirts. For those of you that shall preorder i request your patience with the shirts, they reason for the pre-orders is simply an easy way to bring down the upfront cost of the shirts. So when i have enough pre-orders they get made.
Now onto GAMES!!! that's why you come here, for the games. I have been in talk with some companies as some of you know, i have not been able to get a quote. I have talked to some people about the over all business aspect of the company, and they put some scene into me. A few minor steps have to happen before we go to the printers. First step Incorporating, get the business all official with the federal government and all that jazz. That and it helps keeps my personal behind from law suites and other legal mumbo-jumbo. Next ...well it may not be next but soon, Joining GAMA. I have already looked into what i need to do and the annual dues to pay, and hell it's up there for a company, but then again they expect you to be pulling in money and have people that need some of their offers. I have started picking and getting the final Art work and lay out for the first game to be released from Imperium Star Games. The Joust, a game of jousting knights. take on the role of a knight in the Tournament of the King, Jousting to win the purse, the girls and mostly the Honor of being Tournament Champion.
8/07/07 cause everyone needs a message board
short update today, i got rid of the old message board, which truly was just a filler until i got my ass in gear. I have a new one all linked up to the Message board page... just click the link, and the second link. i haven't yet figured out how to link the page to the Nav bar itself, like i have stated I'm new at this. So join up for our boards and bookmark our pages!
I am in talks with a few companies at the moment to get some T-shirts made up, it looks like the shirts will be $15.00. they will be just company logo shirts. i got a little ahead of myself when planning out the shirts originally...well got ahead of my bank account i should say.
Also i am looking and talking to a few printers about getting our first game printed and ready for you to buy and play, keep an eye out for more updates on, THE JOUST!
7/31/07 Well Well, It's All Starting To Come Together.
I have spent a few days working on the site, writing, re-writing some ideas. Having my comp crash on me, and having to start just about all over again, but i have finish my latest updates. This includes: a Message Board, a Product page, and even a Rant/Blog page for the employees to just let go. No you don't have to point out I'm the only employee.
Alright word of mouth is out and we seem to be generating some buzz locally. Want to be on the ground floor, get your artwork out into the word? Let us know, contact us Artwork@imperiumstargames.com let us see your art work, if your local even better at the step in the game. There is one downside, and it's kinda a BIG one for most artist. At this point in the growth of the company, we can not pay alot if anything for your art work. What we are willing to do is take none of the copyrights to the artwork (unless we do pay you for it) you retain all rights to your work, you will receave full credit for your work, including mention on the product itself.

7/25/07 Lesson one in websites.... pre-type entries.
Well i had a big update written up and everything, including anwsers to the few questions people have posed to me, some witty come backs and all that. Guess how i did it? i went to edit the site and just starting to write in the little box on the website, and writeing and REALLY likeing what it was.. and then.. guess what i finish the post, i start the spell checker (cause those that know me, know i cant spell worth a lick) and BAM the explorer gets a error message, the window closes itself and I LOSE EVERYTHING!.
so for those of you out there, Pre-wriite everything, save it then edit your website. Gorram'it alright rant over, now onto a serious update. So i seem to get one major question asked first. What kind of games are you making? Well the short awnser to this... ALL. but thats in the full scope of what i am aiming to do, the first games that Imperium Star Games will put out are going to be stand alone card Games NOT COLLETIBLE, and a board game or two. I have a handfull of games made up and ready to go, they just need some minor tweeking and real gamer input.
So whats this i hear about T-shirt? well i'll let you in on a trade secret, it costs money to make games... sssshhh dont let that get out or i'm dead. So i need money to make these games and get everything off the ground, more money then i could save on my own. So it came to one of a few things, take out a business loan... but thats alot of work and not a sure thing, simply based on my age and experience or lack there of. Another option was to get money from a 3rd party, but i dont like that cause i hate beggin and dont like taking money from people... so T-SHIRTS, to raise some funds i'm going to be selling gaming t-shirt...i have two desings set and i am working on a few others, i'm thinking a total of 5 diffrent styles to choose from. the shirt will be $13 (that INCLUDES shipping!) i'll put up the desings soon and let you know when i'll be taking orders, so come back often and watch for updates. Also this is my first website, so bear with me i'll be updating as fast as my computer (10 years old on a dial up connection) will allow.
07/23/07
IT LIVES!
Welcome one and all to the website! I have bought and got the website up, one Step to getting the company off the ground floor. Since i am owner/operator/creator/webmaster/...and i'm sure atleast 3 more titles on top of those, this website will be a learning experince for both myself and you. i will learn how to run a website, how to blog, you all on the other hand will learn the inner workings of a growing and up and coming Gaming company. So come with me down the rabbit hole, i will be updating this as fequently as i can, with thoughts, idea, coming attractions and general nonsence sometimes.
thank you again for just stopping by to look, i look forward to showing you what i have coming for the future of Imperium Star Games. Heres a little gossip from the factory floor. T-SHIRTS!!!
~Adam
